Thank you all for the kind words. To answer the question on the roof, it's a slightly modified 63 Olds unit.

My parents bought a new Bronze 63 Dynamic 88 4 dr. ht. Always overheated. Left us stranded more than a few times. Traded for a new 67 Delta 88 2 dr. ht in silver/ silver with a black vinyl top. was a good car but the GM laquer paint was dead and flat before the car was a year old and it was a car accident magnet! Always getting hit. Traded it off in 72 on a new LTD, saw it a short time later with the back end bashed waaaay in. Some cars have bad luck I guess.

My dad had a 67 98 2 door hardtop in that color combination. He installed a Muntz 4 track tape deck in it, and installed a set of Buick Chrome wheels on it. He traded it in for a fully loaded 68 98 4 door hardtop that he special ordered. That was his last Oldsmobile.

I just discovered this 2019 posting by Paul Hettick.  Paul created this spectacular model for me.  As he stated, a replica of the car my dad bought in March, 1964. Paul had to perform an endless number of modifications, not the least of which was sectioning on a top from a ‘63 Starfire Johan kit. He had to rework the bumpers, tail lights, adding several minute badging details, the gun-site inner headlight rings and the elaborate, perfectly done cornering lights.  Prior to this model, Paul recreated my dad’s ‘58 Oldsmobile 98 coupe in Mountain Haze, white top, its silver black & white interior and color-keyed spinners.  I treasure both of his models.  I always say that Paul is a wizard.  I don’t know how he does what he does!

My 64 Olds Jetstar 1. Basically a Starfire with a bit less chrome trim. Along side it was my 1 owner 85 Toronado. Unfortunately don't have either any longer 😔

Nice job on the resin body Paul.  Great looking build and Super sharp detail work.  It's a looker.
