Greg Myers Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Not much to it, but it would make for a nice quick build or a good start on any number of nostalgia builds.

GaryR Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 I'd love to see it again! The body alone is worth it.
Casey Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 I bet Atlantis Models would know, or might find out soon enough, as they would be the company most likely to possess the molds, if they still exist. It seems like something they might try, considering it's all styrene, with no vinyl molded parts needed. Not sure how well it would be received, being 1/32 scale, but it definitely has nostalgia appeal. You can see the parts breakdown via the instruction sheet here: http://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/247/monogram-p411-dragster

Mike999 Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 For nostalgia drag fans: its stable-mate, the old Long John streamlined dragster, is still available. This is the Galaxie Ltd. version. No doubt some of the talented builders in here could replace that "dummy engine" with the real deal and spiff it up in other ways. http://www.hobbylinc.com/galaxieltd-long-john-streamlined-dragster-monogram-plastic-model-dragster-kit-1:25-scale-544
Richard Bartrop Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 (edited) Did Galaxie do a kit of The Glass Slipper, or am I thinking of something else? Edited February 1, 2019 by Richard Bartrop

Yupper, and just FYI, THAT kit is slightly on the large end of 1/24, and many of the repops have resin tires.

I agree wholeheartedly. This 49er dragster is definitely 1/25. I think the confusion comes because most(if not all) the other kits in that series were 1/32. I hope Atlantis got the molds, because this is right up their alley. I have a gluebomb I'm restoring/upgrading, but would love to have a couple in virgin plastic.

Draggon Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 A fellow from Japan built this, shows what potential this little kit has!
