moparfarmer Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Can I put a painted/foiled model that is warped in the cooker (dehydrator) for a few days to warm it up and unwarp it..Maybe put a weight on the rood to hold it down..Let me know by email or on this site..Thanks in advance..
Bucky Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Not quite sure. My concern would be the adhesive on the foil turning loose after it warmed up.
moparfarmer Posted March 5, 2019 Author Posted March 5, 2019 Can always re-foil it...If it all gets screwed up I have another body I could use but don't really want to..What could I use to put on the roof to hold it down level while in the cooker?
Oldmopars Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 I would worry that the cooker would either not get it hot enough, or get it too hot and destroy it. I would be more inclined to use hot water. This way you have more control. Get the water hot, dip for a little bit and tweak. If it is not enough, you hold it in longer, but you are in control. You could do the same with a heat gun, but you would have to be VERY careful, not all heat guns let you control the heat output and could get it way too hot.

Could you tie it down to the dehydrator grate with braided fishing line or string?
