Casey was working on some parts and pieces a couple of years ago, don't think it ever made it to the casting stage. Sure would be nice to have some parts to back date the pickup and the Commando.

A blast from our past!   I know someone who did this using the custom grille that came in the original Jeepster kit. I don't know how close it is, but maybe as a starting point.

There is a company which makes one, but it doesn't match the real grille very well, so I won't even mention it. Really, the Revell J-series pickup kit needs so much work in so many areas, changing the grille and header panel would get you into lipstick-on-pig territory.

We've been toying with the idea, but the grille has compound curves and angles so it's difficult to replicate it by hand. It would almost take having one in hand to measure, get angles, etc. That one is not simple to do without that information. I did a rough model in 3D last year but I'm not good enough with the software to pull it off. I know Chris has it in the back of his mind but he hasn't had time to learn the CAD software either.
