Just what I need, starting Another project!! It was a semi gluebomb,  & it was unpainted...some parts were missing. I was going to kit bash it with a Revell 70 Torino, then decided  to restore it instead..(Torino is list in trade section)

It may take awhile as I'm slow with the builds, & usually have a few going at the same time....:)

If you decide that you would rather not take on another project Al, I would certainly take it off of your hands! :D

Curious what the engine looks like?  It is a Boss 429 or a 429CJ or neither?  It wa pretty common for AMT and MPC to recycle a engine from a previous kit (e.g. 428 from the 68/70 Mustangs) and pretend it's something else.

Yes - only available  in a detuned street version in the 69/70 Boss.  Nascar outlawed them and the big wing birds as the cars were easily going over 200 mph at Daytona and Talladega.

I like where you are going with this project. I have something similar going with a dilapidated 70. I fixed all of the problems with it, and now its in primer. I have seen a couple of interesting Cyclone GTs on the web, and I have both the Cyclone Spoiler decals and the Cyclone Photoetch. A Revell 70 Torino will give me the basic engine, while I will use a C6 from the model. These cars are quite interesting. I can't wait to see how yours come out.

Me too...!    I have the 70 and 71 of my dads but they need a lot of parts and some work....we once owned a real one years ago Id love to make a replica of someday.   I always loved the shape of these cars..they look mean just sitting there.

I've never cared for the look of the front end of these cars.

The grille is quite ugly.

But, you know me.

If it's something different, I'm all in. :)

Al my friend.... I thought of that too...bad thing is I need some parts that are unique to the 70 and 71 Cyclones.

bumpers

taillights

glass

chassis

some interior parts

trunk spoilers

etc.

Might be able to get some parts for them from the MPC Nascar kit if I had any of them..???

Steve...LOL.. I too love some of the so called ugly vehicles...some are so ugly there just cool...LOL..   But for me I want to make replicas of the ones the family had owned over the years...have some of them but they all need parts i just cant get a hold of...???     I have a huge parts needs list for them all I do have...just have to find someone that has them and is willing to parts or help with them for me to restore them into the ones we owned once...???    Would be a shame to see them go to waste since they were my dads old models.
