So, you have a beat-up Chrysler 300C from a sleazy dirt used car lot. It was used and abused pretty hard, and combine that with the fact that every Chrysler engine with a displacement that ends in 7 is basically a ticking time bomb, it stands to reason it's going to be a little rough and the engine likely isn't long for this world. Why not swap in a V10 and six speed from a wrecked first-gen Viper? Sure, it's doggy compared to a newer Viper mill, but it was cheap and available, and there's something to be said for the kink factor of such a thing. And since you're doing this the cheap and easy way, why even bother plumbing an air intake? Nah... open throttle bodies, maybe we'll slap on some Autozone generic cone filters at some point. It would be quite a sleeper if you weren't so afraid of driving such a dilapidated wreck. :)

I see these for sale fairly frequently online...in similar condition! Sometimes the photo is upside down and the ad simply reads "Car". Those are even sadder than the pimp-on-a-budget examples with terrible chrome wheels.

I lusted after the 300 when it was new, but now....they don't look classy so much as bloated and cheap.

Perfect for stuffing a viper engine into, haha!

I'd take mine in flat black with some big matte-finish halibrand-style slotted wheels and whitewall tires. Just like what you've built here, but maybe slightly cleaned-up.

Very inspirational, thanks :D

I like the Viper injection idea. Nice crusty looking body and paint. I personally have owned a couple of this ones Charger cousins and have had great service. Traded our '10 Charger RT with AWD at 97k miles for a '14 Charger GT with AWD. Great cars and they laugh at snowy roads.

Nice! I like your line on FCA engines ending in 7 blowing up...I just hope the current one I have lasts...I find the electrical craps out before the motor...

That's a cool concept for a Chrysler 300. I kinda like the looks of these cars somewhat, but I think the performance and durability could be a bit better. However, putting a Viper V10 in one like you did would certainly make a nice performer.
