Pete68 Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 (edited) This is a old Original AMT Ford pick up I bought at a Model show several years ago it had been previously built Thought I’d rebuild and paint it and just play around with it and see what I would come up with. The paint it’s some oddball color my brother gave me many years ago the steering wheel is from the parts box as well as the seat the tires I tried out make white walls with a white paint pen my first time ever doing this anyway enjoy the pics Edited July 20, 2019 by Pete68
espo Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Very nice rebuild. You got the '60's look, side pipes, chrome reverse rims with wide whites, Merc tail lights, custom grill and more carburetors than you could possible need. Thanks for the memories ( 2 - '56's and friends with many other year models also)
crazyjim Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 I remember that kit from years and years ago. Nce job.
Tom Geiger Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Very cool! There once was a question on a board asking if you were stuck on a desert island and could only have multiples of one kit.. which one? I chose this kit because there are so many things you can do with it.
Pete68 Posted July 20, 2019 Author Posted July 20, 2019 Thanks guys. Tom. I never seen that post but I must say I would have to agree with you. There’s so many ways to build this kit I plan on building another one in the same “60s” Custom now that AMT included those cool 60s hub caps. Thanks for stopping by and the complement
1930fordpickup Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Nice custom Lee. These are still at Hobby Lobby for now.
