Has anyone tried trimming molotow pen tips for finer, more accurate application? I am currently using the 2mm tip pen for the first time and am very impressed with the results. However, i was surprised how large the fiber tip is.

I haven't tried trimming them, but there's a 1mm tip, too.

I tend to use the 2mm more then the 1mm, seems the 1 puts out to much paint for the size of the tip and doesn’t quite stay where you put it as well... You could have the same problem trimming the 2mm...

Forget the tip and just load up a brush with the ink.

You'll get better control than with those clunky tips.

The 1 mm is too hard to do what we want as modelers I think.   As stated, it puts out too much paint and blobs around on fine work.  Makes great dots for lock buttons though.  I recently went to the 30 ml refil and just drip a drop on a plastic parts bag and dip my brush in the pool.   Works much better/smoother for me.

And yes I save my parts bags for a place to pallette my paint and CA to pick up with brush (paint)  or metal pick tip (CA).  Then can dispose of as necessary.
