Blake, the stand is a Tamiya Painting Stand.  It is a really great tool to have when spraying bodies. If you can pick one up, do so and you will thank yourself for it, lol.

Thanks again Tom! I'm hoping to be back at the bench this evening doing some more tedious carbon fiber decal work. I still have the mirrors, and front and rear splitters left to decal in carbon fiber. Then I have the bottoms of the side skirts left to do in Kevlar, and it will be time for all of it to be cleared in some 2k clear.  Should really pick up in speed on assembly then.

When you buy one and put it together make sure you super glue the two base pieces together. Otherwise, if you pick it up and tilt it the two pieces could come apart and your body will hit the table or the floor. Happened to me twice before I finally glued mine.

Welcome back to the adventures in carbon fiber decaling, lol. I managed to get the side skirts, front and rear diffusers, and mirrors sprayed black. 

I then got the Kevlar decals on the side skirts on, and the carbon fiber decals on the rear diffuser. The rear diffuser took almost 2.5 hours to complete and lots of pieces. The front one will take longer more than likely.

There has been fantastic progress on your build, it's coming along well.

Did you buy aftermarket decals? I thought remote shipped a good set with the kit? (Excluding all the carbon)

Thank you. Yes, I bought aftermarket decals from Shunko. 

 Tamiya's decals are usually great, however this is an old kit, so they pretty much disintegrated when they hit the water to be removed off of the paper.

I was thinking of building a sort of open open with no front and top to sit things in whilst i spray them, so i could put the stand in there.

I got the front diffuser carbon decaled tonight. This took entirely too long lol. But definitely worth it in the end

Awesome workmanship on the c-f decals!  Do you eyes go skitzo after awhile? ?  The Lamborghini Setso Elemento is 100% c-f, in case you wanted a challenge. ?

Alright, this is what we have all been waiting for, lol. I got everything sprayed in Splash Paints 2k clear today that is supposed to be clear coated.

Let me say, this is my first time using their clear and it rocks. This stuff laid perfectly flat with no orange peel and no fuss. There is only one tiny piece of trash on the 3 on the roof, so this is going to definitely help in the final assembly reducing polishing time. This works out great as my wife and I are leaving Friday to go to visit extended family out of state  the rest of the year. So, it’ll have plenty of time to cure while we are gone. 

All of the spots that were on the decals vanished and this stuff worked awesome with the Shunko Decals. 

I’ll let the pictures do the talking. It’s hard to get the pearl in pictures, but it’s beautiful.

I didn’t manage to get much accomplished before we left yesterday, but I did go to the local hobby shop and pick up some racing harnesses. I will definitely be using these on future builds as they add a lot of realistic detail, and aren’t overly complicated. I was very surprised being that it was my first time ever putting one of these together. 

I also glued the steering wheel on and the dash in the cage, but have yet to get to glue it in due to getting packed to go. In addition I did get the lug nuts detailed and one decal on a tire lol, there is still one more potenza decal to be applied.
