DaveInTheHat Posted September 25, 2008 Author Posted September 25, 2008 Yes, Patti is my wife. When my dioramas are finished they get put in a box and stuffed in a closet. I'm a little short on space and I also have 3 nosy cats. Hopefully one day I'll be able to put all my dioramas together and maybe throw down some railroad tracks.
Mike Whatshisname Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Nice Job Dave! The scene really looks "alive" when you place the cars in natural positions like turning into the parking lot and staggered on the highway. And the fact that the cars are not placed exactly 1 inch apart in the lot just makes it a natural, eye appealing scene...
Mike Whatshisname Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 oh yea, BTW, I DO love your signage!!!!
Harry P. Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 That's quite an eclectic mix of cars in the parking lot. Patti's place apparently draws the car collector crowd!!!
Eshaver Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Whars Da Beefffffffffffffffffffffffffff? Ed Shaver, naw I really do like the lay out man, nice work !
Sixties Sam Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Nice work, Dave! I hadn't seen this thread before. I'm amazed at the detail you can make in HO scale! By coincidence, I am working on a 1/25 scale diner right now. It's about 18" long. The diorama will have a parking lot full of mid 1950's cars. Here's a pic of it under construction. Sam

The Modeling Hermit Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Now that's what I'm talkin' about!
DRG Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 got some real bad heartburn at a place like that once.
Kris Morgan Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Very nice job. may I ask where you got the HO scale Pintos?
David G. Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Is it a Pinto or a Bobcat? I thought it was a Bobcat. Not that there's much of a difference.
george 53 Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 With the tailights set like they are, it's a Mercury Bobcat. :) VERY nice Doi!
