David G. Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Excellent work so far. The paint scheme and colors really suit the body style. David G.

The decals are good and went down well, but like you say, don't keep mucking about with them once they're on. Let the decal solution do the work. Come back later to get the bubbles out and they'll be easier to deal with. I like the expression "mucking about", I think it better describes what you're doing wrong. I have used a pin to give the captive air trapped under the decal a way to get out.
Tom Geiger Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 I just saw this thread for the first time. I love what you are doing with this ancient kit. That steering wheel was a topic when Model King first restored the kit. I checked an old original issue I had and it was the same way. It's a misaligned tool, that's always been that way! Our comment back in 2006...

geetee66 Posted November 24, 2019 Author Posted November 24, 2019 Got the interior done today. parts box steering wheel had the same two tone divisions as the original. Which was lucky. Added a dash mounted mirror, and the foiled dash was given a coat of matt clear. carpets added using ds tape and embossing powder
espo Posted November 24, 2019 Posted November 24, 2019 I like how you represented the seat inserts. Was this a Decal or some paint treatment ? This really adds to the appearance and makes the insert look like a cloth of some type.

I was going to use nail decals for zebra stripes, but they weren't quite right. Luckily these were the correct colour ?

geetee66 Posted November 26, 2019 Author Posted November 26, 2019 Got most of the foil done couldn't resist doing a mockup to see how it all looks
