With the re-re-reissue of the venerable AMT (Lindberg originally?) '34 pickup, it's time to build another one...kustom style this time.

Here's the inspiration:

First order of business is to grind out and fill in the spare tire slot on the passenger side front fender...

Then channel the body over the frame...

give it a haircut...

I then shortened the bed and fabbed up a hard bed cover...

Let's roll the rear pan to add a subtle kustom touch...

Rear fenders will be bobbed, the front splash apron was removed, the grille shell was notched and shaved on the sides and slammed down, so the hood sits level...quick mockup...

The plan is for flathead power...more to follow... thanks for looking.... -RRR

It is my understanding that the kit is originally AMT. Somehow it ended up with Lindberg for the longest time and now Round2 has all.

I love where you are going with this hot rod. I'll be following.

Off to a killer start, brother! Proportions are perfect.

If you're looking for a really low profile flathead intake to fit under the hood the 3-carb piece from the Revell-Ogram '40 Pickup is as good as it gets.

Yeah, I was kinda wondering how the height will be in the engine compartment...I think I used that intake on the belly tanker.... -RRR

RRR, The inspiration Picture and your progress on this build are both in keeping with the Period Perfect Pickup!

Here's another 1932 Ford Pickup!

The 34 Ford is one of my favorites. This picture in a Hot Rod magazine inspired me to build a similar truck for one of my modeling friends. (not so great photography)
