Hey, Guys.... the interior is done. DupliColor makes a vinyl dye that I've used on this..... it has a nice sheen like vinyl/leather would have.

Can't remember the last time I've seen one of these built,if I remember correctly the ride height needs to be lowered a bit.

You're right about the ride height... I've removed 2mm from the rear coils, on the front, the mounting spindle needs to be moved up some. I just cut it off and used a piece of tooth pick to mount it again... (whatever works, right?)

The left side has been adjusted...

and I'll be using some NASCAR wheels that I got from a guy here in the kit tires. The body has been wet sanded in it's color and is ready for it's final coat...

I'll paint the rims black, maybe with a red lip.

Thanks a bunch for following, and comment freely....!

That sits better than about any build of that kit I've seen! Liking the color, kinda lukewarm on the wheels. Keep it going!

What tires are those TJ?  They look great!

Thanks, Guys!  Carl, the rims are from a 1/24 NASCAR kit, the tires are from the Thunderbird..... I had to alter the backs and mounting posts as well as trim inside of the tire to get them to work together...  The '80s T Birds were run in NASCAR so I thought it would be cool to have that sort of theme...

Thank you, fellas!  Here's a final full-on mock up with glass and interior...... it still needs one more coat of paint, then clear and polish. Things look kinda monochromatic, but maybe the black trim will break it up some......

I plan to get some foil to do the trim with......

Thanks for looking...

Thanks, Carl!  I'm thinking about tinting the head light lenses now that I see how it looks in the pic...... I used the front air dam, but decided against the full treatment......

nice project - I like it! Good choice on the wheels ?.
I think a light-moderate grey tint on all the lighting and windows would be cool.

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated this.... With everything going on, I was unable to get any paint until yesterday. So, I was able to finally get the last coats on everything and get it cleared. Just need to wait to polish it, then I'll do the trim with some black foil.

Got to agree that clear coat looks great.  You’ve done a lot of nice work; looking forward to the final result.

Thanks, fellas! It's Rustoleum Acrylic Lacquer "Crystal Clear"......... It's a nice shine, but tough to spray for me. I did get it all polished up this morning after a light wet sanding.

Now the only chance I run of ruining anything is with this foil..... got started on it.......

After the foil is done, it's on to final assembly!

..... or "Blunderbird"! :D

The foil isn't working out, so I've decided to use the foil as a mask and try to spray the black for the trim...... hoping it works out.

Thanks, Carl buddy! I actually didn't foil the trim, though..... I used the foil to mask, then painted the trim. Turned out pretty good, I think!
