delta99 Posted February 2, 2020 Author Posted February 2, 2020 I decided to curb the kit tires, and go with the Moebius ones. The front floats are a bit small, and I was a little bit disappointed about that. They aren't that bad though. I decided to make some steps for the driver's side frame between the fuel tank and axle I worked on scratch building a headache rack, but I'm not happy with how it turned out. I wound up ordering one from AITM. I am going with the AMT round headlights. I had a mishap, and long story short, I lost a couple of the lenses. I have been filling in the housings with testors window maker glue. I just need to get the headlights done, mount them on the grille, get the grille on, headache rack, mount the steps and mud flaps. I'm closing in on the finish!
bigred63 Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 Wow, what a great looking truck! I like what you have done.

delta99 Posted February 9, 2020 Author Posted February 9, 2020 I got just a little bit done on this, I got the rear mud flaps mounted I had a mishap with the headlights, and lost a couple lenses I filled in the headlamps with testors clear glue, and painted it white. I don't like how they came out, but oh well...
delta99 Posted February 9, 2020 Author Posted February 9, 2020 I got the steps mounted on the frame, and added some mudflaps under the battery box And a shot of the grille and head lights
gatorincebu Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Andrew, You are doing a really fine job on this one. Your rear cab panel looks great. The interior looks good as well. The black and grey is cool. I like the Cozad ramp. This thing is crying out for a Detach gooseneck lowboy ! Be Well Gator
delta99 Posted March 8, 2020 Author Posted March 8, 2020 Headache rack got lost in the mail, finally arrived. I'll post to on the glass once I build a trailer for it. I think I'll wait for the spread axle flat bed
Jerdatty Posted June 25, 2020 Posted June 25, 2020 Very very nice work taking a snap kit to the next level. She's a beauty. But, if you'll accept constructive criticism, I'd make one suggestion. When tractors or even dump trucks only have a single tire third axle, the tires line up with the inner set of the tandems. You might find that will give the truck a "cleaner" line when looking from above. Just my 2cp.

Vince66 Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 (edited) I know the tag axles on our freightliners lined up as you have it. In line between the tires our trailers either had a matched set on our tri or quad trailer axles. Could either be in line with inside tires, in line with outside tires, in line with the center of the tires. Or any combination above. Just depends on manufactured model that's been applied. Just an FYI since I have done many miles of 53' van & skateboard multi axle heavy haul. Edited June 28, 2020 by Vince66
