Chariots of Fire Posted January 23, 2020 Author Posted January 23, 2020 Got some weathering done, or should I say oily dirt. Perhaps just a bit more high lighting to bring out some detail.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 The engine looks great, but it sounds kind of like the valves need to be adjusted. ?
Hermann Kersten Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Great project and the engine looks awesome, very beautiful details.? Hermann.
Chariots of Fire Posted January 26, 2020 Author Posted January 26, 2020 With the engine basically done the front end of the chassis can be worked on. Springs and front axle are in place and set with U-bolts and some small beads. The steering knuckles have been made of brass tubing, both round and square. One side of the square tubing was removed to make a C section. The round tubing has been soldered to form a pivot point inside the wheel. With proper backing and setting in place the front wheels will be posable. The cab sits a bit high in the front because of the radiator. Some trimming on both the top of the radiator and the inner portion of the hood will bring it down to where it should be.
Tesla Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 Very impressive work on the front end steering knuckles ?
redneckrigger Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 Very realistic, as always, and incredibly skillful build Charlie. Keep the progress photos coming. The inspiration gained from your builds is priceless!
Dutzie Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 Charles, the build looks very cool so far. Great job!
