Here my newest project. Based on the 1930 Ford Coupe from Mongram (Old Iron Series) I want to build an Old School Rod with 4 banger and speed parts from the 30's and 40's. It should be TROG legal

I know the panels are not 100% correct

Oh wow, that looks killer!  Is it going to stay in primer or do you have a body color in mind?

The extra detail that you’ve added makes a big difference!

I not sure about the paint. I thought about red paint but red primer could be also  possible

Liking this a lot !    Is the front suspension/steering also 3D printed ? From who ?

The front suspension/steering as well as the shocks are from Replicas Miniatures of Maryland

I see an end of the tunnel. Chassis is painted now I'll add brake and fuel lines. There will be a fuel tank in the back instead of the one in front of the windscreen. And I printed a Schroeder sprint car steering box.

Hey Michael!  Great start.  I have an old built one of these sitting on top of my tv in the model room.  I keep eyeing it for a project!

I went to the TROG races in Wildwood, New Jersey this year.  Here's the photos I took,  hope you find some inspiration!

Thanks for the pictures. I have to go to T.R.O.G in the future

Great to see another TROG inspired project on the forums, IMO this proves that there is still a certain level of continuing interest in this style of cars. One correction to be race approved at Wildwood would be to loose the headlights. Those are OK for cars on display but not those competing. Thank for taking the time to photograph your model in-progress and post them here.

That was a confusing issue... the official rules say no headlights, but the photo header for the rules on their website showed two cars running with lights!

There were cars running with lights when I was there

I have never actually seen a set of their rules so you might try contacting someone directly connected with TROG or asking on-line to see if anyone knows for sure. Did you happen to notice if those with headlights had them X' d out tape?
