This mixture of different styles from different periods was sold between 1978 - 1988 and it is based on the Fox body Mustang. The Fox body Mustang isn't the best looking Mustang but it was a better looking than the Mustang II.  But what Art Zimmer did to a Mustang is a sacrilege in my opinion. He build  more than 1500 Zimmer Golden Spirit.

I wouldn't go as far as the call it a sacrilege.  The Fox body certainly wasn't a sacred object.  It was from the period when Ford couldn't remember how to build a Mustang, or frankly anything else at that time.  The Zimmer on the other hand was just chasing the pimpmobile craze.  Very much in the style of the clothes of the time. Garish ugly cars for people trying too hard to make a statement.  Actually is Quicksilver cars were pretty interesting for the time.  A much more integrated style.  This thing was just horrible.
