bobthehobbyguy Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 I found I have a couple of the Revell or7ginal parts pack triumph custom motorcycles without tires. Looks like some of the dragster front tires would work for the front however the rears are knobbies. Any suggestions for suitable tires.
Don Sikora II Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 They used the Revell dragster tire on the front. Common kits that include that tire are Roth’s Outlaw and the Tony Nancy 22jr. Not sure about the rear tire, but I’d check with Norm at Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland...he might cast it in resin.
Casey Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 I'm pretty sure this was discussed here previously, so a search might pull up the results. I seem to recall toy BMX bikes being recommended for knobby tires?:
Straightliner59 Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 I wouldn't think a knobby tire would be necessary, for a street bike, but, if you need them, those bicycles look like a good choice.
tim boyd Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Bob...can't help with a source for the tires, but here is a view that shows what the tires should look like.... More images here.... (images 11-17)....hope that helps at least a bit....TIM
bobthehobbyguy Posted February 9, 2020 Author Posted February 9, 2020 Thanks for the replies. Will see how the bike looks using two of the front dragster tires. Also see the grease resissue had the knobbie rears on the harley and bsa bikes. Thanks Tim your pictures are a help.
