All done... probably the nicest Revell USA kit I've built in terms of detail, fit and engineering. Any problems I had were the result of the poor instructions, which are badly drawn, unclear, and occasionally inaccurate!

Absolut stunnig! Beautiful! I'm on the same kit (C5 Z06) and can confirm what you wrote. It fits very well and some points of the instruction sheet aren't that clear to figure out, what's Right. The second kit, I'm on, is the convertible C5 by AMT. There are a couple differences and on my point of view is the Revell kit the better one. One great advantage of the Revell kit is the one-piece-body. The rear bumper is a seperatly by AMT or that "license plate" insert at the front bumper.

I like the Color of your Corvette. Beautiful. How did you do this with the engine hood? The hinges are extra pieces. Isn't it that way, that I have to choose betwenn the open or closed Option?

btw: did you male the rear spoiler of the C7 by your own? C2 and C7 Looking Pretty nice as well.

Thanks very much, guys! @christian-w the hood hinges have pins at the bottom that are trapped by U-shaped arms on a piece that fits into the nose. It’s ingenious and I don’t know why more kits don’t do it. It’s not how the real mechanism works, but it looks convincing up and doesn’t affect the sit of the hood when it’s down...

The spoiler on the C7 was in the kit... I just stuck a couple of strips of thin plastic card on the rear edge to make the (I guess) Gurney flap that’s on the Grand Sport version...

best,

M.
