DonW Posted March 8, 2020 Posted March 8, 2020 An excellent little car! My mum had it's predecessor, a Rebel - rear wheel drive, free-revving 750cc 'four', cheap to run and FUN!
GeeBee Posted March 8, 2020 Posted March 8, 2020 My very first job after leaving school at the age of 15 was working in our local Reliant dealership.
peteski Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 "Kitten"? What a cute name! The car is also kind of cute. Meow!
Pete J. Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 I should have spotted the Robin linage. I wonder if it was as dangerous as the Robin.
DonW Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Most definitely not! The difference is in the number of wheels on the front axle... A friend from years back. a proper cockney geezer, did actually put his Reliant Rebel on it's side in a pedestrian precinct. He had to stand up holding the drivers door open like a tank commander and persuade some passers-by to push the vehicle back onto it's wheels then drove away to hide in a corner. The embarrassment was too much to bear!
Earl Marischal Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Whilst returning from the Chinese takeaway as a passenger in a mate's Robin, the body flexed on a sharp bend, my door flew open and half the night's supper disappeared into the darkness... steve
