Another $10 Rite Aid rescue. It scales to a true 1/24. This might be the most perfect cheap diecast I've ever seen. I really had to go looking for improvements to make on it. All I did was sand the tire treads, detail-paint the low areas of the wheels with Black Chrome Trim, paint the rubber parts of the bumper guards with the BCT, and paint the amber parts of the taillights. Total Snake-Fu time was around two hours, most of which was painting the wheels. I'm keeping my eye open for a suitable set of quad round headlights so I can convert it to a US-spec '70 car, which just looks more right to me. Thanks for looking and as always, comments welcome.

Well done. Purchase to display shelf in less than 24 hours has its merits.

Indeed it does, especially for subjects I'd like to have on the shelf but don't really want to sink 40-60 hours into for a plastic kit build.

And that's if a plastic kit is available AT ALL, which in the case of many of my diecast subjects, none is.
