Watched the NASCAR race today and the Indycar from yesterday.  Pretty entertaining in place of the real thing.  It has gotten way more realistic from the Grand Turismo days!

And yet it still looks fake as anything. I just cannot get my mind around watching other people playing video games and others carrying on like it's real racing. Crash? No consequences. The driver can drink their coke and eat cheetos while they play. No G forces, no un bearable heat, no worry about injury (except maybe carpal tunnel) or worse death if they or someone else screws up. Last week Fox had a great race from 1989, this week this fake racing nonsense. Don't care if the ones doing the racing are the real drivers playing the game. I tried watching a bit of it on YouTube since my feed is full of it because Nascar is pushing it like real racing. I lasted about 2 minutes because it looked so fake. I'm glad you enjoyed it, Bruce ( and apparently many, many others) but it does not do a thing for me. Like watching your neighbour's kid playing Donkey Kong.

I've watched IndyCar and Nascar and really enjoyed it. The graphics are excellent and sound and camera angles good also. Having the original announcers helps the whole experience in place of the real thing.

I would not watch if the players weren't real drivers. I find it fun to know real drivers are now attempting to race video games instead of their real cars. I'm being entertained and happy for some racing on my television!

My Dad has watched the last 2 Nascar races, he really seems to enjoy them and found those to be better than some of the more recent ones he's watched before this Corona Virus stuff started.

I would like to have some of those driving rigs they use. Would make it more enjoyable to use a driving simulation.

I think those were some big dollar rigs, especially the F1/Indy style one Jimmy Johnson had.

Watched the recent NASCAR race on TV, those cars were spinning and crashing out without

looking like they even touched. Didn't see much signs of damage either.

Orher times they were driving through each other.

There was a GT type car race streamed over the weekend (can't remember what it was called)

much more realistic, cars showed damage during the race and to me more enjoyable.
