TarheelRick Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 Finally got one finished that isn't a short track car. Tried my hand at weathering. Surprised at how well it came out, although still need some practice. The engine is from AMT '49 Mercury, the only flathead in my inventory with 2X2 intake and Offy heads. Bed is weathered, distressed wood, one plank is broken. Notice the right rear tire, with the power of the flattie and no weight on the rear it is easy to lose traction. You may also notice all the chrome is blacked out, after all you don't want anything shiny on a bright moonlit trip through the piney woods. 1
NOBLNG Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 Nice job! I see someone bent the radiator support rod too while adjusting the carbs...?
#1 model citizen Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 The weathering looks great! I have been wanting to try my hand too. Maybe some day...
