Hi guy's :D

I built this a few month's ago on "The Workbench" thread, but never posted it here as finished, after adding a few final things.

I detailed the body and top with a lot of detail painting, detail work on the interior , the Chevy engine, and especially on the convert top, and the under-carriage, and late model drive-line.

Lot's of taping over and over to get the trim right on the top. The snaps were 27 mini straight pins, and more on the body for side windows and various bolts.

I tried to keep the body pretty much bone stock in appearance, but as a street rodder, couldnt resist the wheels/ tires set up. I built it as I'd drive um'. That's how I approach most of my stuff.

This is a beautiful real car and always loved the stock colors, so these are close.

Sigh...another thread from years past, brought back to "life"

The builder is long gone from this forum. Let's not dredge up why.

I still like the model, still think the rear wheels sticking out beyond the fenders is...uh...*fill in the blank*

Another long dead topic bumped to the top???

Why???

Seems like Andrey (CEKPETHO BCE) has been looking at some old threads for the first time and wanted to compliment them. Nothing wrong with that.

Not sure what's up with the higher-than-usual number of "zombie" threads in this section ... strange!

I, too, am a fan of classic luxury cars done up as street rods, but I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment on those rear wheels!

As long as the zombie is awake...

I don't mind the wheel style at all, oddly enough it suits the car, but if I had built it I'd have widened the rear fenders, I think it would have been worth the effort and look exponentially better. But maybe that's just me...:P

... or narrowed the rear wheels ... or narrowed the rear end and installed wheel tubs .... or ... something.

Having wheels/tires that stick out beyond the fenders is a major faux pas on just about any vehicle, 1:1 or model, as far as I am concerned. That's especially true on a fendered rod, where it just destroys the car's looks.

Doesn't take much to make an improvement; and this only took a few minutes:
