64Comet404 Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 While I accept that the world is in a dire situation, and we need to keep distances, it feels very different not being at the NNL this weekend. Usually by this time (just after 9:00 PM), I would be back at the hotel and going through my purchases, exhausted and happy. Who else on the board is missing the action?

MrObsessive Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Same here...........I had made an effort to take time off to get to the show. Would have taken off Thursday night to have Friday off, and then scheduled Sunday night off for Monday so I wouldn't be wore out from getting back from all the fun. Oh well............I sure hope September won't hold any surprises. The Super September Showdown is also still a go as far as I know, so I hope there's no conflict with that.

Unfortunately for me, there are two shows on the same weekend which are much closer to home, so I will have another year to save up. On the brighter side, it should give me time to complete some builds for next year’s show.
Tom Geiger Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Yes, it is a bummer! But come see us in September! We are planning on one heck of a party
styromaniac Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 (edited) Would've been great. Wretched virus has taken a lot from us this year. Edited July 23, 2020 by styromaniac
Ramfins59 Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 Oh yeah... Unfortunately it's looking like there won't be any model shows held anywhere for the foreseeable future. Add to that the fact that we won't have any of our car model magazines showing up in our mailboxes is even more depressing?. Most of us still have our stockpiles of kits and supplies to carry us through these bleak and troubled times. I know that I have a lot of subjects to choose from, several stalled, started projects to be worked on, and plenty of ideas and internet inspirations to keep the creative juices flowing. When shows start opening up again I know that I'll have quite a few newly completed cars to choose from to enter and/or display. Please all stay healthy and well. Follow all the sensible rules for mask wearing, social distancing, etc. so that we all will be able to look back on these times and say that we made it safely through the storm.

So happy you had your surgery and recovery before this mess! When I was confident you’d be recovered by NNL East, we could not have imagined the show wouldn’t happen! Hopefully we all will be together in the spring. Be safe, be well!
