Ok Gary, I'm inspired!!  Have prepped old body ready for resin, hope it turns out as well as your 'bondo' flip top.

Just a quick update.  Poured resin into old body and the result is attached, warts and all.  Various cracks etc that were in the vacform are evident in the resin.  I did undercoat it but made the fatal mistake of wiping the resin of with auto thinners then undercoating.  Resin absorbed the thinners and made the undercoat sticky!!  Have since wiped it down and will let it breathe for a week before undercoating again and starting the repairs, etc.

Will keep you informed.

Not bad at all considering what you had to work with.  Recommend you let it breath for as long as you can then fix the cracks etc.  Please keep us posted on your progress.
