Adding flake to clear coat

Recommended Posts

I’m currently painting a 65 Ford F-250 And the car I am replicating has a clear coat with a faint blue sparkle. And I’m having difficulty finding a flake small enough for my airbrush gun and something that will be subtle.

A possibility in a spray can from Model Master. They offered  two different Paints, #2983 Multi color glitter clear and #2984 Silver glitter. They are both Enamel paints.

I'm not familiar with those specific examples, but in general, Testors metallic or pearl model paints have flakes that are way out of scale (too large).

Pearl-Ex powder is finer.

They're spray cans anyway.
