GeeDub Posted June 25, 2020 Posted June 25, 2020 I finally signed up after visiting for a few months. I'm a disabled (multiple myeloma - type of blood cancer) senior citizen, retired Navy, with plenty of time to spend on models when I have the energy and focus. I got back into model building after a very long hiatus. I loved building cars as a kid and of course preferred muscle cars and anything that I could convert for the drag strip. Recently, I got interested in watching Street Outlaws but really hate the theatrics et al. Always fast forward through the episodes to the actual races. I like to kitbash and create my own version of cars, so the pro street/pro stock and pro mod styles are my preference. I have recently collected about 25 different kits to build and have started on an AMT 66 Nova Pro Street and an AMT 68 Camaro Z/28 that will also be a pro street. The level of detail will all depend on how I feel and how steady my hands are. Heck, I'm doing it for fun, not for show (competition) so I'm not going to fret over it if I can't get things looking as good as all of the ones I see on this forum. I like this site. Lots of great projects and info.
