Since this was a curbside kit - the chassis plate extends forward past the first bulkhead to the location of the radiator - but as with most other open wheelers with forward radiators - this space should be open - i’ll make an oil tank and improve upon the kit radiator - therefore the surgery you see in these pix …

Pedals - clutch and brake pedals had cast non-skid surfaces - made these with some solder melted over some fine brass screen -

Wow, Andrew. That's some thinking out of the box on making those pedals with the solder on a screen.  Look perfect.

The brown material is Renshape - handy for reshaping the tip of the uprights - Evergreen strip to make a thicker part and add the flange that holds the disc brakes - the flange has flaps left and right because the component was made to be usable left or right …

because you are scratchbuilding ALOT of parts...!

I then made a second shock with a wrapping of .005 wire to resemble the narrow pitched thread on the shocks - ill see if i can get these cast …

This is how the shock mounts to the bulkhead - i’ll rummage thru the parts boxes for some decent springs …

Springs are a PITA

this one is from railroad scale guys - Precision Scale - correct width but too short -
