TransAmMike Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I know it has been rebranded but I'm wondering if this product is a thing of the past??? I have a very old original container of the Future and did an experiment. I bought and for the first time sprayed Duplicolor Red Mica. I did'nt realize it was flat. Anyway after it dried I brush painted the Future over the flat paint and it dried out beautifully, very shiny and not any brush strokes visable. Also it seems very hard. Polishing it was no problem. So has anyone used the new formula?? Comments?
Deuces ll Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I'm pretty sure it's the same thing....
fshoemake Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I have used the new formula. It works great.self leveling so no brush marks.nice shiny finish.i used it over flat black and it looks like I used gloss black with clear coat sprayed over it.im impressed
Bugatti Fan Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I am still using an old version of this named Kleer. And yes it still works well!
randyc Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Yes, you may want to search it - several threads on the variations, including one that goes from when it was Future up to a few weeks ago I think. Plus some links to a page with lots of advice on using.
TransAmMike Posted September 29, 2020 Author Posted September 29, 2020 Thanks for the replies, and OOPS, I realized after posting this there was a recent lengthy thread on this.
peteski Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I see this mistake time and time again. The stuff we cal Future is a "floor finish", not " floor polish". There is a big difference. Polish (or wax) doesn't add any appreciable thickness to the surface being polished - it just shines it up. But Future is actually a coating which adds a layer of clear acrylic to the surface being treated.
