No I messed up the body I’m trying to get ahold of another body like a coustom one or someone who molds bodys

Ryan, try contacting Round2 (which makes AMT and MPC-branded kits) and explain (honestly) what happened. They may be able to help with a replacement body:

I guess true colors shine thru. Rather than explain Revell doesn't make a '67 or ask if he meant an AMT '67 several members would rather post memes and use passive aggressive posts to make it seem like everyone should know what manufacture whats what kits. You can call it being blunt or direct, I call it rude. Others may have different names for it.

I'm not going to parse your sense of humor. Ryan thought it was funny. He's the only person whose opinion matters.

Another noob may not have found it funny. Someone that posts a response like that out of the gate would be a jerk, even by NJ standards.

But, attack my sense of humor (irrelevant, funny meme in a normal thread) to make you feel better. Sorry you're so unhappy. Good luck with that.

You know Mike, it seems like more than just coincidence that keyser commented that you called me out a full 13 hours before you even posted that just 48 minutes ago. A little bit of behind-the-scenes collusion, maybe? ;) :D

If one bought a particular kit, one should be able to figure out which company made it. The info is on the box, instructions and even major parts like the body. Reread the replies. What was or wasn't available in Revell Impalas was posted.

Is it the forum norm that everyone is to be treated like a mental patient by treading lightly for fear that anything that smacks of humor or directness could set them off or hurt their feelings? Many of us have faces some real adversity in our lives and were able to survive. I seriously doubt that reading a reply written in a blunt manner, or looking at a meme poking fun at a comment, will have negative effect. The OP took it all as good-natured ribbing. The only ones who took issue with anything that I, or others, posted were other members who have selective amnesia about their own past comments and remarks over the years.

My guess is that the OP didn't realize you were offhandedly making fun, at his expense, of the fact that he didn't know Revell doesn't make a '67 Impala. I have been on this forum long enough to know that is what you were doing, in the name of humor.

I just guess that I expected more from you, being a long time forum member, who prides himself on being so helpful to others. Someone decides to make a post, become a contributing member of this forum, and your first response is to poke fun at him. Shame your follow-up response wasn't your lead.

No collusion was needed. I made my first comment while coming home from vacation. My later response was after I had a chance to sit in front of my computer.

That was honestly kind of rude how you said it.

It was honestly kind of honest. I said nothing rude. B)

Let me be honest and see if anyone agrees. When I first read this post and saw mostly snake's response I "somehow" just KNEW that this would turn into a big multipage blowout ! How did I know this ? Cause when "certain " forum members are involved it ALWAYS happens. This isn't the first time and I doubt it will be the last. I would bet on that . To the OP post an ad in the wanted section first and see if someone had an extra they would be willing to give or trade you. Alot of really good guys on here.

In the last year I've seen at least two newbies show up and make their first (and I believe only) post in the Wanted section, in one case looking for a rare kit and in the other looking for parts for a rare kit.

In another case, a newbie showed up in the General discussion asking about the rarity and value of a number of old kits/builtups (with some nice pictures of them, too). Turns out he was just fishing and/or publicizing his eBay auctions for these items. Then he came back and bragged about how much he got for some of them, and asked if he did well (which he knew full well he did). He had no further interest in us.

Then again, I just re-watched Gran Torino the other day, so maybe I was just channeling my Inner Kowalski.

Ill throw my nickels worth in on this,I would call Richards response to the OP military. just the info you requested with no feel good bs attached.I personaly dont find offence in that.As too posting a meme poking fun at the OP, yea know, there was a day when people had live in person relationships and in my experience there was sometimes mocking, teasing and other schinanigans that would be done to a new member of our social circle and everyone still loved each other and life went on. A virtual relationship can have the same hazards so if one decides to enter, be aware that could happen and if you cant stand the heat, dont go in the kitchen.

Otherwise

Ryan welcome to the forum!
