THarrison351 Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Most don't realize the fourth-generation Continental rode on a stretched version of the unibody platform produced for the 1961 Thunderbird, lengthened to a 123-inch wheelbase from 1961 to 1963. This was then extended to 126 inches and retained until 1969.

Or that the design that became the 1961 Continental actually started out as an alternate Thunderbird proposal, and was stretched to become the Lincoln.
