For my last completion of 2020 I built this replica of a 1987 Players GM Challenge Series car. This car was driven by Laurie Craig who twenty years earlier raced the first Z-28 Camaro delivered in Canada.

Thanks Misha - I had already  made up the decals in 1/18 scale for a diecast I did for the original driver so it was just a matter of scaling them down in the Testor's program and printing them up. There wee a couple of places I used white vinyl underneath cause I did not have any white decal paper.

I came across this Motomaster poster rolled up in my garage as I was looking for something. Richard Spenard was one of the stars of the series. This is an ad poster so Players logo left off.

Hi Phil, another beautiful build. I think I need to build another Camaro of this body style. Probably a pro stock version though, they really are a great looking car. Your replica builds are always spot on Phil. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Steve. You may already know but there was a Monogram pro-stock third gen Camaro that was reissued in a few different liveries over the years. I never had one but considered buying one when I was collecting kits for this project.

Indeed, I built a couple way back when, have parted out many of them. They recently reissued one. I will need to buy a new one, it’s on the list....like I need more kits!
