E St. Kruiser50 Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Gas prices here are dropping like a boulder over a cliff . This is like 2003 prices in this area, and prices are still headin' south. Wonder where it'll bottom out. Can't believe it. Never saw anything like this before.
Harry P. Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 It's been a year of extremes in many areas. Gas here (we usually pay among the highest prices in America in the Chicago area) are around $1.80/gal today. Just 4 months ago I was paying $4.25/gal for regular!
alfa_owner Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 (edited) You think thats expensive, you can double that for gas prices in the UK! Edit, just worked it out little more accurately, about $6 a gallon here so not quite double Edited November 28, 2008 by alfa_owner
RadRidesByDan Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Here in the great white north in Alberta 2months ago I was paying $6.53 a gallon ....today I filled up at $3.96 a gallon....not too bad but I wish I was paying $1.80 gallon. Last time we saw those prices was 16 years ago
CAL Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 $1.58 gal They said some places hit as low as $1.17.
FloridaBoy Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Does that mean we can fire up our Hemi's and let loose? That is, if we have jobs to pay these low prices, and more important, if we have Hemi's. I am almost there with my Taurus SHO with the quattrovalve Yamaha V8. It rocks. Ken "FloridaBoy" Willamani
george 53 Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Here in the downriver Deeetroit area, it's at 1.51 a Gal. I read well over 2 years ago, that at a meeting in Wash.D.C. the oil co.'s decided to raise prices , under the understaning" If we jack it up to 5.00 a Gal. an leave it there for a while, they'll(the U.S. consumer) be GLAD to pay 2/3 bucks a gallon. Danged if the bastiges din't get away with it! Just ANOTHER sign of pure corporate greed in all it's essence!
george 53 Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 When did the SHO's get V-8s? I thought they all came with Yamaha V'6's.
dub Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 When did the SHO's get V-8s? I thought they all came with Yamaha V'6's. George, the "fish" Taurus had a short-lived SHO version that had a ridiculously small trunk lid spoiler and that V8 that Ken is talking about. Even more of a sleeper than the original two SHOs. You really had to know what you are looking at with one of those. And gas here is still above $1.90. It's better than where we were but I'm afraid we are going back there after Jan. 10.
evilone Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 last seen here in fontana it was $1.89 i was like it costed me to fill my bone bag hauler about $35 but you guys watch as soon as the economy gets repaired gas will go through the roof
Avenger Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 My Gas prices are 1.77 and i've seen 1.35 in my area too
JTRACING Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 (edited) prices here aren't bad Ontario Canada, a few months ago they were 1.20 per liter, now there back to around .74 to 80ish cents Edited November 29, 2008 by JTRACING
tabsscale1 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 In the middle of Kansas it was $1.60 a gallon today

Harry P. Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Sice I posted this morning, gas has down a little more today...$1.77 at BP and at Valero down the street from me...
Joe Handley Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 The Marathon and Phillips 66 in West CHicago (a city in Dupage Co, not West Side of Chicago) were both $1.69 a gallon and the P66 had $1.46 for a fillup and car wash
Robert Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 $1.87 per gal. for reg. in Huntington, WV, but since my company shipped my job over-seas I don't need to buy gas, lol. I have no job to drive to, so the lower price doesn't matter a lot to me, but I am happy it's gone down. We all must remember, though, when it comes to prices; What goes down must come up.
RodBurNeR Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 $1.54 Omaha, Nebraska.....drops about a penny a day it seems.
