Looking through my kits on the weekend deciding which one will be next and decided to build AMT's 1970 Ford Galaxie Police Car.

Not going to be any specific region, got 3 sheets of police decals from Ebay a month or so and plan on using  some to turn it into a county sheriff car.

It's a fun kit. I built mine as a PA daily driver with snow tires and road grit.

I still have one left in my stash, and I'm thinking Ohio Highway Patrol or US military staff car.

Can't wait to see what you do with yours.

Nice simple kit, one of my favourites. looking forward to seeing it progress. Somehow I had Chicago PD decals with mine but they were the mid 70's decals so wouldn't have looked right.

Simpler kits like these are good when one needs to feel a sense of progress.

Good progress on this!

Thanks David, enjoying this one simple and easy to build.

There's 3 or 4 different decals with mine but decided not to use them on this build.

Got the body painted, not perfect but none of those old cruisers weren't pristine by any means.

Have the interior painted and almost together as well, will post a pic when it's done.

Looking good. Paint looks to have covered well. I find black doesn't like to stick to high spots like trim lines and such, especially if I go too heavy at first.

Thanks bud, have a few areas that might need touched up especially under the front doors.

Got the motor all painted up nothing too fancy, waiting to put the exhaust manifolds on until after the exhaust are mounted.

I could never understand why AMT put a Blue Crescent engine in this Police car?
