Started on the engine And the chassis The exhaust seem to sit very far from the floor pan. I may have to mod it to bring it in tighter. some of the interior as well Still have to paint the shift knob black and the firewall That’s where I’m at right now More to come.... Anyone have any any tips on how to paint the snowflake wheels gold, on the inside of the snowflake?? Any thoughts or suggestions welcome! ksnow Posted April 16, 2021 Share Posted April 16, 2021 (edited) In the smaller scale, I had luck by stripping the wheels. Then paint them gold, I used rattle can gold. Oldcarfan27 Posted April 16, 2021 Share Posted April 16, 2021 I always paint the insides gold and (while still wet) wipe off the excess paint from the highlighted chrome edges. I painted the seats with testors flat paint - the same color as the rest of the interior and let dry thoroughly. Then I use kiwi brown shoe polish applied with a make up brush (cheap at dollar general), let sit for a while until it dries, and use the ame brush (after cleaning it) to polish the peices. I have never built a large scale car and have always thought it more difficult to to get some of the details to look right. The interior looks great. I finished the engine and shaker hood scoop tonight and assembled the wheels and tires as well as some extra painting of suspension parts and interior.
