unable to recieve PMs

I am getting notes from modelers on the forums that they are trying to send me PMs and are being told that I am unable to receive them. What can I do to correct that?

Go to your "Account Settings", then click on "Notification Settings" and see of you are able to receive mesaages.

Thanks, but where do I find my " settings"?

Upper right corner of the main screen/page, you'll see your user name and the generic "M" avatar. Right click on the downward pointing triangle to the right of your screen name

Upper right hand corner there should be a small version of your avatar and your name. Click it and account settings is in there. There are a lot of options you can change/modify.

Thanks Michael but I clicked on everything I found and still don't know anymore than I did before. I am severely technophobic  and just don't do well with all of this(read that as anything newer than the radio). Just way outside my skill set.

Which of these pertains to PMs? This is how mine is set, and I have always been able to receive messages.

I believe you have to go to your "messages" section (click on the envelope icon next to your name on the upper right of the page).

That will open up a menu. On the bottom select "Go to Inbox".

The Inbox page shows you the space usage (on the right side).

Also, If you  have any PMs, they will show up on the left, under the word "Inbox".

There is also "Disable my messenger" link in there, a little lower on the left.  I suspect that yours might say "Enable my messenger".  Click on that to receive PMs.

Is your Inbox full? Have you deleted old messages?

OK, I see what you are trying to direct Tom to. I never knew where all the settings were. Everything is working fine here, so I never had the need to go poking around. I don't think I ever opened my inbox before, I just click on the new message to read it.

Like with most computer things, the same task can be accomplished more than one way.  Either way should work.
