David, I spent a year trying to get a hat like Onslow wears. I was too late though. By the time we watched the series, HF had stopped selling those ball caps. I saw on in 2002, go for over 200.00 on eBay....

What some Fans will do, eh?

To this day, my 25 year old son, still says "Oh Nice", with exactly the intonation....

I loved the Onslow actor. That and "Waiting for God" were some of the funniest. The only better one was Jeff in the " Coupling " series. Show the bird some love and care and he'll come around.

I liked those series too.  "One Foot in the Grave" was also entertaining.

Doc Martin is a slow building, but satisfying series. Not a Howler, but a quiet kind that wins you over.

For your Crime Show, I prefer "New Tricks" and "Taggert".

Just wanted to let you know that I saw on TV last night that Jeff Blue is going to be on America's Got Talent next week. I don't watch the show myself but it comes on just before the 10 O'clock News on the channel I watch and heard them mention that he will be one of the acts for next week and remembered that you were also a fan.

Thanks for the headsup! Finally got around to watching it. He advanced to the semifinals, too, and Simon told him he has a chance of winning the whole thing. Good for him! B)

I agree, would be great if he could get that win.

My favorite was his line about about you could join the "disability minority" at any time. "You're just one bad bike ride away. Isn't that right, Simon?" Even Simon seemed to like that line.

Yesterday I was fed a good lunch by my two year old twin granddaughters!

The sandwich had an egg, cheese and lettuce on it.

I laugh that they gave me a pepper.  I asked what it was and they indeed said "pepper".   Smart little buggers!

SNL actually managed to put together a funny episode for the first time in maybe years. Lately it's been a "good night" if they get even one genuine laugh out of me; last night's show had quite a few. The guest host was surprisingly entertaining and they used him in several clever and imaginative ways. Some of the more annoying and obnoxious regular cast members seemed to absent, or not as prominent as usual, and it felt like there was much less politics and racism than has been the normal fare of late. Maybe they hired a bunch of new writers, some with some talent? I guess we'll see in weeks to come.
