I had a lot of fun with this kit  I was hoping it would turn out a little nicer, but I think its OK

I should have spent some time on the body before painting and done more test fitting as I went, oh well-  next time

the kit is OK, but the fit and finish are lacking, the shaker hood scoop didn’t like up with the hole in the hood (probably my biggest gripe) and the drivers side seat hits the door when trying to close the door.  The side mirrors are awful, there is no way that I could figure to get them attached and have the straight.    The rad hoses in the kit are too short

I did get more detailed with this build such as adding plug wires and gauge faces.   A3D308B1-1AEA-4D5C-BA93-1A9F456B886B.jpeg.f59d1660d58f562cb025fdb98864f29b.jpeg

ALLLLLLLRight Chaz!!      Looks great?     Just a suggestion for the readiator hose....you can use an adequate size shrink tubing. Some other suggestions may come to you from forum members.

Gold paint job looks fabulous

Thanks!  I was worried about the color at first, but I’m pleased with it.

Good idea!  I have lots of that stuff.  Thanks for the thumbs up. Coming from someone with Trans Am in their name, it’s a big deal!

Glad to help. The First of 4 TA's (actually one was a Formula) I have owned was a '79.

Forgot to mention, put a stiff wire inside it to shape it.

Good job! I have this one as well, but won't build it until I have a place to display it. I'm curious if it fits back in the box when done?

It fits back in the box once completed

Thanks for checking! That might change my mind about waiting for a place to display it before building it.

Very nice build and gold is always a great choice on these Firebirds. I like the gold paint on the wheels and eventually when I get around to building mine I'd like to do the same treatment.
