Thanks for the comment Rusty.  Like my granddaddy use to say.....hope for the best and expect the worst.

I got some of the front suspension other parts in primer yesterday and painted this morning.  Not moving fast on this one.

Rusty I really admire the knowledge some of the men on this forum knows. I will remember that.

I had a freind in high school (1965) his mom had a 4 door hardtop 65 with a 409 smaller hp.

I elected to put the decals on the rotors against my better judgement.  Decals and me go way back and we are not the best of friends.  With that being said.....I think they turned out ok.  I'll paint the inner part a flat steel.

Update: after putting the wheels and tires together for a trial fit you can't even see the decals on the rotors.  Oh well, they are on there.

Hey Bob, engine is looking good, rotors look good, what color will it be? I'm building this same kit right now, and it is a really easy build with things fitting so well. Will be watching...

Thanks for the comment Bob.  Not sure about the color.  I bought this kit some time back just to use the body for paint test, panel line test, etc.  It's been painted about 5 times and there are cuts in the body from trying to scribe the panel lines.  The body currently has been airbrushed with Taimiya X-10 Gun Metal but not cleared.  I've been waiting for HL to get these kits back in stock so I can get another body but it hasn't happened yet.  May just spray the body with Tamiya TS-13 Gloss and be done with it.

Looks good.. did you use the lowering front suspension part?

I did use the Foose front suspension.  I had to use my brain a little when it came to installing the rear suspension.

Yes, that rear is a bit of a puzzle to get in,.,

Robert, do you have a post going on your 65 Impala?

Ok....I saw that.  Nice looking.  For some reason I thought you were building the 65 Foose model.  Not a ton of different between to the 65 & 66 to the average eye.

In all honesty it is the Foose 65, I hit the wrong button with I did the title, will see if I can change it.

I went ahead and finished up the undercarriage this morning before the wife and I head to a local cruise-in.  Not a whole lot of detailing but it'll work in a pinch.

I now have a rolling chassis.  I have the bucket seats painted.  Next step is to try my hand at bmf on the chrome trim around the seats.
