The Brush Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 Hi, I have started 2 trucks together a LJX & B61 (.The B61 will have it`s own topic). Both frames are from AITM i cut & swopped the ends over, The cut was supported with a piece of aluminium epoxied in a groove then filled with car body filler, This was so the LJX had the heavier suspension supplied with the B61 frame, Working from pic off the web, I shortened the hood on the LJX then everything was drilled & fitted with pins before final gluing in place after painting.
bigred63 Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 Wow! I like this, can't wait to see the finished truck!
gatorincebu Posted May 29, 2021 Posted May 29, 2021 Graham, Nice work on the frame splice. I am interested to see where you take this one . Be Well Gator
leafsprings Posted May 29, 2021 Posted May 29, 2021 More impressive work on another classic, coming together nicely. AITM has great stuff!
The Brush Posted June 5, 2021 Author Posted June 5, 2021 (edited) Hi, Thanks for great comments, Had some decent weather so managed to get some spraying done & the frame ready for the bodywork. The frame is cherry red, Body & cab will be solid racing green, The ram is from AMT with a car aerial for the extending bit, The stack is humbrol polished steel, Dump body will be a modified montone also from AMT, The black rod is to support the body when raised. Wheels are from AITM. Edited June 5, 2021 by The Brush
