Dragonhawk1066 Posted June 8, 2021 Posted June 8, 2021 (edited) not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes. For those that have requested a missing part from Round 2, but don't still have the receipt, did you have to pay for Shipping and Handling. I'm missing a spoiler pedestal, part #71 from the AMT 1971 Plymouth Duster kit, but since I do not still have the receipt from my last September purchase, the request form states that there will be a S/H charge. Anybody else have this S/H issue? I have had to fill out a request 2 other times in the past, but happened to have the receipt for both purchases so there was no charge. NOBLNG Posted June 8, 2021 Posted June 8, 2021 You could buy another one, photocopy the receipt...then return it?

I did get the request to go through without a receipt, so we'll see what happens. At worse, I'll just fill in the holes in the trunk and build it without the spoiler.
Tom Geiger Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 Your best bet when you are missing a small part is to ask here on this board. I have a couple Duster parts cars so if necessary I’d be happy to send you that part.
peteski Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 How much is the shipping charge? It might be worth to just pay for shipping and get the part. Well, unless the shipping cost is unreasonable high. Some model companies (Revell?) ask for the UPC barcode or some other identifying item taken from the kit's box when requesting spare parts.

Because people cheat… I remember a conversation about the parts requests.. like people saying their kits were missing the tires and chrome wheels! Or parts off different trees.. but still had rest of tree from sealed kits! Someone at Revell said that back when they released the Chevelle wagon with custom hood.. suddenly everyone said they were missing their ElCamino hoods..

I filled out a request without submitting a pic of the receipt, so I'll wait and see what happens. If they want to charge S/H, I may just take you up on your offer. 20 hours ago, peteski said: How much is the shipping charge? It might be worth to just pay for shipping and get the part. The S/H charge according to their chart would be $5.95 for a tiny part. For that amount, I'll just fill in the holes and build it without a spoiler. I did have to submit a pic of the UPC, which was no problem.
