eastown Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 Very ,very well done. I had forgotten about that scene from the movie. excellent.
1959scudetto Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 Excellent, Alan - you only need the rear live axle with a chain wrapped around in a distance...
Mattilacken Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 Great work on that build! Remember your starting point and I am impressed with the outcome! Had to look up the scene again since my memory failed me on what happened. Great capture!!

You mean like this? The rear axle was all part of a diorama we displayed two weeks ago at our NNL. Just for the record, it was cable, not chain. Having freeze framed this scene a gazillion times for research. I am now the most fully knowledgeable, staggeringly boring geek on the planet in regards to this scene! The rear axle was just a bit awkward to arrange for my photos in the sun. Thanks again guys, your comments mean a lot to me. Cheers Alan 1
1959scudetto Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 Of course you are right, Alan ! Immediately after posting I remembered the scene - a chain would have made too much noise so the cops would have noticed Curt fixing their rear axle (one of my favorite scenes ever)
