The Buick wagon probably got scrapped after the last bunch of kits were run.  The trailer and display engine from it were reused in the Nova wagon.  Engine parts are rearranged, some not plated in the Buick kits (long block) are on the plated tree in the original Nova.  Nobody is saying that the Buick body and chassis were altered into the Nova, just that some of its extras were reused in the Nova wagon.  The Buick's mold base may have been reused for the Nova also.  No parts are shared between the Nova wagon and the hardtop/convertible, except it looks like the six-cylinder engine moved over to the wagon for '63.

If the Buick wagon still existed, we'd have seen it later as a Craftsman or Flower series kit.  I'd bet a paycheck that it is long gone.

Now that I could see. Much like how major portions of the 28 Model A Sedan ended up in the Woody/Pickup tool.

Tim, did they do any repairs to the filed-off interior detail on the driver's door area?

Thanks for pointing this out, Chris, I had not noticed this until you mentioned it.  The engraving on the interior driver's side door panel is weak when compared to the same area on the passenger side door panel and the rear doors.   The elements are there, but not as well defined.  Then as it moves upward toward the top of the door panel, the engraving mostly disappears.  There is no apparent difference in this area between the "craftsman" type kit released a few months ago and the the new full detail kit.

I wonder if anyone has tipped Round 2 to this?

Tim, thanks for the over view. Great work. The only problem is my wife. She who will be obeyed, said she didn't mind the cost so much, but the storage is getting out of hand. Since she sees you as the most of the problem, she believes storage should at least in some part your responsibility. Just to give you a heads up. She said the bill will follow.?

Hello, maybe someone can enlighten me. In reference to AMT changing the Buick wagon into the Nova wagon?

Did AMT share this tool with Jo-Han (pardon the mid-spelling). They seam to be similar at least to me.

No, nothing shared between the AMT Buick Special Wagon and Chevy II Nova 400 Wagon, and the JO-HAN '61 Olds F-85 Wagon. There's very, very little shared between the AMT Buick and Chevy, either, other than accessory parts not related to the vehicles themselves and the tires.
