I’m a big fan of the monster truck, I wonder if anybody still prints Bigfoot 10 decals for the kit.

when I started back in the hobby in the mid eighties I started with a monster truck.  I believe that’s a Bigfoot truck made to be Hot Wheels. May find Bigfoot decals on eBay.

You have to remember that the "new" Revell model A frames are stretched slightly over stock. That's why none of the available fender units fit them.

However, the the AMT 29 Pickup/Woody parts practically drop on the fender/frame assembly from the AMT 29 Roadster kit (the one that used to be the double kit with the AlaKart) right @Dave Darby?

That's correct. All you have to do is level things out by cutting out the rumble seat floor.

I think so too. The fairing behind the cab looks to be the same as Bigfoot 10, the truck itself was built in 1992. I think AMT/Ertl kitted it a year later.

That one from the early 80's was representative of the "Bumpside" truck whose origins date to the ole AMT annuals of the F-Series .

I used to buy the 'Bigfoot' kits for practically nothing back in 1985-1987 . Since the stock suspension was included , that's how I built my copies .

The first one I built was the destroyer a 78 or 79 Ford I left it behind when my wife and I devorsed. I wish I still had it..

The tooling actually started as the 28 Sedan, but that kit only got one issue before it was changed into this woody/pickup kit.

Wasn't there a rumor a while back of Round 2 thinking about resurrecting this gem? Word was, they had the body and interior parts but couldn't find the rest.

This, along with the 8in1 33 Chevy delivery would really be a coup for many of us ol' fogies out there. And I think the young pups would like them too!

Word I heard was that the '28A Sedan was being investigated as a possible reissue, but it sounded as though it would require quite a bit of new work to make it a salable kit again.   That put the project into the list of other "retooling" projects and apparently there were other projects that were judged to have a broader market appeal (and thus a better return on the tooling investment).

Some of what I just wrote here is speculation on my part, but I haven't hear a word now on this project in several years so it sounds as though it will be a long time (if ever) until we see this one again....TIM

Stay tuned. There may be a development coming up on this front, but in resin.
