AMT 62 Corvette

Started this over the summer heading to the paint booth tonight. Color will be Honduras Maroon from MCW, wheels and tires from ZMan

Nice looking Vette so far.  My father in-law had a 66 1:1 that was Maroon.  Looked pretty sharp.

Holy Smokes....I would have never thought you could shoot clear over paint that quick.  That Maron is a lot lighter than what I was thinking it would be.  I like the lighter color.  Looks really nice.

The wheel color looks different, first pic they look gold, this pic they look grey. Nice paint!!

To me they look a cross between Grey and a Copper depending on the light

Its all an experiment with this clear at this point wanted to see what it will do

Great looking paint work. I like the wheels, the rear tires look a little tight in the wheel wells.

Oh they are but it looks so cool when mocked up, the front will be a little lower when finished hopefully it will take a little pressure off the back tires

Honduras Maroon is THE color for '62 Vettes! I did one in the Model Master Honduras Maroon a few years ago, if you'd like a "preview of coming attractions" of what yours will look like when finished.
