camaro69 Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 Hi folks, have one question about these... Do they have the same body dimensions? Thanks for any help. Rico
deuces wild Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 Yep! The chassis parts are interchangeable....
Classicgas Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 Roadrunner and GTX are the same basic car, trim and engine performance differences, but the balance is the same. 1
deuces wild Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 Yep! What Mr. Gas sez... The only thing different is the front grill and maybe the tail lights.. And a few other odds and ends....
espo Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 The Hoods have a different Hood Scoop design that was dependent on the year model of the vehicle along with many of the trim items mentioned already.
camaro69 Posted October 23, 2021 Author Posted October 23, 2021 Thank you all but I think my question was wrong. I meant if the model kit bodies had the same dimensions...?
Snake45 Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 Yes, they have the same "dimensions," but they are not identical. Each has the trim for its particular year and model.
camaro69 Posted October 23, 2021 Author Posted October 23, 2021 Thanks Snake for the info. I asked because I have finished the ´68 GTX rearend after more than three years and wanted to know if it would fit both the kit bodies.

By "finishing the rear end", do you mean reshaping the rear quarter panels? That's the only thing that will ever save these kits in my opinion. Steve
camaro69 Posted October 23, 2021 Author Posted October 23, 2021 No, I did a new trunklid with taillght housings, lower valance, taillight parts and rear bumper. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/128888-68-gtx-grille/?do=findComment&comment=2472642
