Resin speed parts for the Lincoln V12

Recommended Posts

Since the Monogram 41 Lincoln I grabbed from the attic is missing a hub cap so I am thinking about lowering it so it tje rear caps will not be seen, and while I am at it could hop up the V12 so did anyone ever cast any speed equipment for that engine or will I have to make them my self.  I could see if I can get some 1/25 50s engines to swap in.

Nor sure about specific resin parts, yet with parts from R&D and inventive scratchbuilt bits one could come up with some of the following…

I’m planning to build an Ardun head for the V12 for my Connie. There is a thread on the forum, I’m unable to recall, of a modeller machining the heads for his which gave me the idea to scratch build a set using the R&D Ardun head as a pattern extended by two cylinders.

Hope this may be helpful to you, cheers Misha

I was hoping to find a set of finned heads,I do have some flathead intakes that I can cut up to make a multiple carb intake.

If you had 2 sets of cylinder heads from the AMT 50 Ford you could make some finned heads. The Monogram 40 Ford heads would be closer in scale but the water outlet area would need to be reworked.

Whoops, thanks for spotting my mistake! It’s the engine from a Willys that I had posted in another thread.

Thanks Andy for your keen eyes, cheers Misha

I will have to see what I can find, might have a pair of Monogram 40 heads and can see if I can get two more.

Hi Jeff, I found the thread by Tim Slesak on his build of an Ardun V-12…

Here is a shot of his head design altered to accurately match the intake manifold…

Got a parts car coming for the Lincoln since it has parts that are missing on mine that I did not know so I am going to have a extra V12 to play with, since I have extra 60s, 70s and 90s 34 coupes I am thinking about stuffing that V12 under the hood of one so I am going to build my own version of a hotrod Lincoln.
