They haven’t done so with the golden commandos  65 awb Plymouth yet

I am sure something is in the works. They did it with the 65 Plymouth Super Stocker, I am sure the Altered car is coming back soon.

And I am sure the same will be done with the Dodge.

Fellow Model Car Club member Bruce Snyder stopped by Pegasus on the way to GNRS and got some info on some kits, here is what he was told on this kit.

"The AWB and street versions of the 65 Dodge are about to be started in the mold process and expected to be produced late this year…"

So as Mr Mopar's post shows, it will be later this year indeed.

well fill us in ?

Eh, it's just all mundane and boring work issues.  Imagine it's like one of those long winded word problems from grade school (at least they were there in my day).

Something like this:

Fritz has three model car projects that he wants to bring to market.  Fritz is a founding member of the league of one armed modelers, and has many friends and league members. Fritz hires Sven to help him on these projects, as Sven is very talented and has done great work for Fritz in the past.  But Sven only eats Durham wheat strudel on Tuesdays in Smarch.  So to cope with the global strudel issues, Fritz has to contract thru Johannes for extra paper for the free-range cricket enclosure that is maintained by Ole.  Ole has the capacity for all this, and sees an opportunity to improve efficiency of production for Fritz.  Fritz likes this idea, and wishes to implement it in these four three projects.

What is the coefficient between how much will Fritz's sales go up by for implementing Ole's improvements verses the ratio between Sven's strudels and Johannes's free-range cricket ranch expressed in Dainish Kronner?

Will Moebius be doing any other versions of the 65 awb Coronet kit ie;  Grand Spaulding Dodge, Dick Landy, Hodges Dodges, etc?

I would have to say no ,that's where the after market comes in like Slixx  Decals etc....

I'd say yes, but not right away.  Different decals will freshen the kit when a reissue is needed.

Sounds easy, but some of these licensing agreements have wild machinations written into them about what can and can't be done. Plus you'd have to relicense the whole kit with the driver/heirs, sponsors, et al of the "new" kit.

They did it once, they'll do it again.  Moebius didn't tool that kit to sell only 6,000 of them.

Well, Model King is handling everything with the AWB car. I'm not sure when or if Moebuis will be bringing out the AWB for themselves. Model King might be working on other License Agreements that we know nothing about. I'm perfectly willing to see what the After Market, Model King & Moebuis do in the next few months before worrying too much about what is next.

The 65 Dodges are 65 Plymouth AWB kits with a new body on top. A new body that shares itself (with different side inserts to A the WB) with the two other 65 Dodge kits. Selling all 6k of them would be happy dance for everyone involved. It would be 12k sold AWB kits that both share 98% of the same tooling. The 30,000ft view is that when August is over there will be 9 different 65 Mopar kits that all in some way share the same base. Moebius has out varianted the variant happy Japanese companies with their product line.

Also other than the relative quick turn around (2 yrs) on the Melrose Missle and then Golden Commando Super Stock Satellites Moebius has yet to ever do two versions of the same drag car. Butch Leal's Super Stock was a Belvidere.

If you wanted to speculate about something that is going to happen next it would be what '65 Dodge A990/Super Stock will be done, since that's the obvious next kit.
