Check ebay for a resin or original '69 grille and convert the current AMT '72. That or pay a lot of money for an original.

I've been looking but was just wondering what kits were available.  I'm pretty sure both MPC and AMT made a '69 pickup but I don't know anything further.  Like variations of the kits or if Revell or Monogram made one.

No Monogram or Revell kit. Just the AMT and MPC kits. Hoppersbazaar on ebay does a resin copy. But, at $18 plus shipping, it's a bit pricey.

AMT and MPC both sold '69 Chevy pickup kits in 1969.  AMT actually created both, as their '67 somehow went to MPC to become their '68-'72.  AMT tooled another one for '69.  Theirs had a big-block engine while the MPC pickup had a small-block.  Both were long wheelbase Fleetsides.  The current '72 kit has some parts of both of the old annuals, plus some new parts.

Get the MPC grille with the separate bumper if you can. The AMT part doesn't have the outer trim the 1/1 has so it doesn't look quite right.

Easiest way to tell the AMT from MPC is the AMT has the bumper attached and it's separate on the MPC.

And be careful of ones that have separate headlight lenses, they originally came on the Blazer kits and are a touch too wide for the pickup cabs.

More good info....  thanks Steve.  Our 1:1 had a step bumper and I'd like to try and replicate it (when I find a builder or a kit) if possible.  Anyone make a resin piece I wonder?   And then an aluminum topper too.... ?

I would scratch the step bumper.  A lot of those were fabricated locally, with each fabricator making them a bit different from one another.

The cap wouldn't be too tough to scratch up either...break it down into shapes, and start looking for materials.  The glass in those was all flat, making that part easy.  Adapting an existing piece (not that I'd know where to find one) wouldn't look as correct as one made specifically for this project.

Was kind of thinking that's where I'd end up.  I'm ok with projects like that if that's what it takes.  If I feel full of it I might even try and tackle our '64 Winnebago too.  That thing weighed a TON and really burdened the 307 on hills.

What are my kit options for a 1/25 1969 Chevy C10 pickup?

I have a built up 70 if you are interested. They were physical the same as the 69. The only difference that I know of was the marker lights actually had bulbs on the 70 and were just reflectors on the 69. PM me if you are interested in trading. I too had two 69 1:1s and planned to build a model of one of them, but truthfully will probably never get around to it.

The October 2021 issue of Fine Scale Modeler has a nice article by Mark Jones on scratch building a topper for a 1972 Chevy pickup.

Years ago, when I was into WWII armor building I subbed to FSM.  Be nice to see that article if it was online.  I have some ideas already how I'll approach building it.  The topper and maybe the '64 sixteen foot Winnebago ?

Thanks

Kind of a follow up...  I just searched for a Winnebago trailer and found that there was a diecast 1:24 1964 Winnebago travel trailer made.  Amazing, of all the trailers they could have chose they chose a '64.  Downside to this is that it appears to be longer than the 15' trailer we had and it's 1:24 scale.  Granted not all 1:24 stuff appears larger than 1:25 but I wouldn't want it to look out of scale.  Plus, it might be fun to scratch build one.  Obviously wouldn't look as good as the diecast but I can overlook that if I do it myself ?
